Honor, Responsibility and Decision
Honor
is due to those serving humanity,
the Jewish people, and their own kin, who oppose injustice, at all
costs.
Responsibility
presumes our
ability to
act, promote
the good of society, and accept the consequences.
Decision
validates our freedom of choice and bids us do our best.
These
principles are declining. Our society is divided on vital issues.
Scandal and corruption are undermining the public's faith in its
leadership.
We
must first diagnose this malady, establish why previous attempts to
cure it have failed, and then propose the required reforms. Israel
sorely needs effective political and administrative institutions.
Our society must emphasize the value of authority, discipline,
obligation, modesty, loyalty and honesty, and foster a positive
attitude to work and a creative life.
